One thing I definitely took away from the book is how "wrong" the system of delivering meat to big restaurants is. The entire process is cruel, and unsafe. It's not just fast food that uses these slaughterhouses, it's many markets and other restaurants as well. I have tried to cut back the amount of meat I eat per week because of this.

Yes and it made me so sad. I completely quit eating some things that I love because just thinking about it made me think how hard I would have to work that day in the gym. Now when someone asks me if I want to know the nutritional value of something I love I tell them emphatically, "NO!" I know if I find out and it's bad enough I'll never eat it again. :(
